The Apprentice has aired its latest firing, with Onyeka Nweze becoming the sixth contestant to exit the series during a record-breaking episode.
This week’s (February 29) episode saw the teams tasked with creating a Formula E brand, with the goal of securing financing from potential sponsors.

Despite the challenge involving record-breaking figures, as mentioned on spin-off show You're Fired, Team Supream ultimately lost the challenge, with much of the debate revolving around the mixed message regarding the company’s ethos and their poor branding.
Project manager Paul Midha elected to bring Onyeka and Virdi Singh Mazaria back for the final meeting, with Karren Brady acknowledging that the team lost money mainly through their pitch, leading Lord Alan Sugar to fire Onyeka.

“To have the opportunity to be on that platform is amazing,” said Onyeka following her exit. “It was quite surprising to get that goodbye from Lord Sugar – to have him acknowledge my intelligence on national television is definitely a plus.

“During the sponsorship pitches, the majority of the feedback we were getting was that we couldn’t be sponsored because they didn’t like the brand, the logo or the colour of the car. Me and Paul were on the same sub-team, so I thought he’d acknowledge that.
“It was one of the hardest pitches I’ve had to do. I don’t have difficulty speaking to people that I don’t know about stuff I know, but this was a completely different area. It was really hard to get my point across about stuff I learnt 10 minutes ago.”
The Apprentice airs on Thursdays at 9pm on BBC One, with spin-off series You're Fired airing immediately afterwards on BBC Two.
