The Big Reunion's Girl Thing have revealed that the show was like "therapy" for them.
Jodi Albert, Anika Bostekaar, Linzi Martin and Michelle Barber all appeared on ITV's Lorraine this morning, with Nikki Harrington joining them from her home in California.
Albert admitted that she never really dealt with the band's downfall, saying: "When Girl Thing ended, it ended quite abruptly for us and we all ran from it and certainly for me, we kind of blocked it all out, so actually revisiting it has been a bit like therapy."
She also revealed that she was pleased to get some closure, saying: "What appealed to me about doing [The Big Reunion] was rewriting our ending and giving us a chance to have a happy ending as opposed to the way we left it off."
Meanwhile, Martin admitted that it was tough trying to live up to the hype claiming that they were the new Spice Girls.
"They were a phenomena and to actually have that pressure on us... it was a big fall, a huge fall."

On happier topics, the band joked that they are starstruck by Michael Jackson's nephews 3T, with Martin saying: "I think all the bands are starstruck! They're fighting over towels in rehearsal!"
The Big Reunion returns tonight at 9pm on ITV2 with an episode featuring Girl Thing and Damage.
