Good morning and welcome to the start of DS:BB's Updates. It's been an eventful morning in the BB house, with Ahmed, acting like he's at death's door, refusing to continue with the running and incurring the wrath of everyone. At the moment things are quite quiet, so I'll leave this as a Lite Update,but if things start to happen, dont worry, I'll change to a full one. (btw, my 'h' is sticking on the keyboard, so cut me some slack if they disappear.) It's hard to check when you've got one eye on the telly and the other on the pc screen!

11.00 - 11.15

Michelle and Stuart are walking around the garden. Michelle is really angry with Ahmed as she wants to know why Ahmed is there. Stu reckons it's an achievement just to be on the show, but Michelle reasons they were told it was going to be extra hard this year, so what did Ahmed think when he was told that.
Stu says his attitude isn't harming BB, it's harming them in the tasks. (This lad is so laid back he's horizontal). Michelle says she'll be glad when the task's over, as Stu sympathises and says it's a lot of pressure.
Dan has been called to the DR to see the doctor. Hopefully the doc will see Ahmed and tell him to pull his finger out and stop whingeing.

kt44 : ahmed is driving me crazy!!!!!! he is being selfish, selfcentred and completely disregarding the other's feelings. it is not fair on anyone else for them to take an extra shift on centry duty just so ahmed can recover from a "sore throat" and if i may ask, why did this suddenly occur as soon as they were given another task? he is not being a teamplayer, and should be automatically be put up for eviction.

Pearl Necklace : It's transparently obvious that the task's criteria are SO arbitrary, so that they can deem housemates to have passed. That's the only way any real fireworks will come from it. Victor and Ahmed won't be best pleased with Jason, and I can't imagine Stuart will be bowled over by Michelle's transparent self-interest. On the other hand, if Stuart is looking for a way to extricate himself from Michelle without looking the villain, he may well have found his excuse at long last, and can pretend to feel 'betrayed.'

lou_lou_babes : 9.00 am. Just logged on to my Live feed to see Ahmed and Michelle throwing things at each other. Seems the goup are supposed to be doing their excersises and Amed is refusing because he is 'ill'. When the whistle blew, these two continued to argue and BB cut all sound and piccys. Picture restored at 9.05 but no sound. Ahmed seems to be trying to get BB to throw him out. Sound restored at 9.08 and on it goes.....

sniffles : Can someone please inform the 'invalid' (ahmed)that to benefit from inhaling steam (to clear the sinuses)he should cover his head with a towel to trap the steam.......stupid, lazy excuse for a man!! Get him out!

Susie : Anyone else feel that they'd rather watch the others sleeping right now?

Chrissy : Let ahmed go, he is spoiling the whole groups efforts

Fankie : I can't understand why someone like Ahmed would even want to enter the BB house?????
I can't believe he would go through all this just for a few minutes with Davina!!!!!!!!!!!!!

11.15 - 11.30

Stu and Michelle are still walking around the garden. After a long discussion on Michelle's visit to Stonehenge, the topic changes to photograph collections. Stu thinks that all photo albums are essentially the same. Michelle leads this talk on to saying they are going to have a fantastic holiday with lots of photographs, sunshine and bikinis. Then Stu says he cant wait to get out so he can give his family some money. They are being paid £50 for BB I'm not sure if that's per day - I would hope so. (Stu and Michelle walking around the garden is not the most riveting thing to watch), all the rest are asleep, so it's not very exciting. We're onto Tesco shopping now! It gets better and better.

cloud : Ahmed obviously really badly needs some kind of validation for existing, that's why he's on the programme. Does he have a wife? The poor thing when he's ill.. it's pathetic.

Tan : If the Doc has arrived to see Dan, surely Big Brother should call Ahmed in to see the Doc and then we can all know if he's trying it on or not. Either he's fit for duty or he needs to be sent home...... : I bet Michelle is regretting she didn't choose Stu to be her fellow Seargant - a bedroom all to themselves, what an opportunity missed. He looked surprised that he hadn't been chosen; but not as surprised as Jason.

pilky_pops : What is Ahmed's game? He is so selfish! I would probably throttle him if I was in the BB house right now! I can really empathise with Michelle an dher frustration, I think she's doing really well not to lamp him one!

11.30 - 11.45

Oh joy, Stuart is pretending he's gone to Michelle to ask for a mortgage, so she's putting her knowledge of the day job into describing just how mortgages work...I refuse to type up the details- if you want to know, go to your local Building Society!
Never mind Chicken, I'm sure you'll make enough doing glamour work when you get out that you wont have to worry about stuff like this.
Stu finally realises that a mortgage is just like a fat loan. Spot on Stu! Those 4 A levels are really coming into their own. Michelle drones on and on about different products- ie.mortgages. We are now onto negative equity and going bankrupt. Stu says that he can see himself going bankrupt, but Michelle says, he wont as he'll listen to her and he knows she's always right. Poor Stu is like a lamb to the slaughter. He is so passive.

Biggles : Well there is a solution to Ahmed..if in DR it is discerned he is throwing a sickie then they can evict him..and let the rest of this task run its course ..we vote on whatever side..what happens between Stuart/Michelele..I do not care as he will sucker and pucker up to save his hide and chance of winning..it is what happens when they leave that will be far more interesting..though I imagine they will grab the freebie holiday.....I give the affair one nano-second from the first time she orders him that he cannot go out with team handsome tonight without her...end of...

abc : I'm glad Ahmed is acting up as that will mean they will fail the task and Jason will be up for eviction. Then everyone will nominate Ahmed the following week and he will leave meaning only Victor will be left!

Stu really doesn't know much about anything does he? ... He really doesn't know what a mortgage is?!

kacidama : I think that Ahmed is behaving in this way to ensure he is nominated again this week. By refusing to participate in team tasks (and almost certainly ensuring failure) he is alienating himself from the rest of the HMs on purpose

Sarah : I can't belive what a pain in the backside Ahmed is!!!!!!! Why does he think he is so special to be given preferential treatment! He thinks he is so superior!

lou : Who, does Ahmed think he is saying that Michelle is lazy? I haven't seen him cook, clean or do anything yet apart from moan. No wonder he and his wife live separately, she probably kicked him out!!!!!!!!!!

I really can't decide who is worse, Stu for not knowing anything about the real world and being passive or Michelle for clinging and possessiveness!

11.45 -12.00

The walking has stopped and Michelle is talking to Dan. He's been to the doctor, who has told him it's not too serious. Dan thought it was cancer or a bone stuck in his throat, but now he's relieved because he can finish the show and get it seen to afterwards. Michelle asks if Ahmed's gone to see the doc, but Dan says he doesn't know- just that Ahmed has requested to see one.
We're back with the lovebirds who are having a cuddle on the decking, before commencing the walk round the garden. Only two people in the first flush of lust could be content with this. It reminds me of convicts let out for an hours' exercise a day. Walking round and round.
The camera pans to Ahmed and Dan, Ahmed sitting in stony silence and Dan's making a drink. Ahmed's body language is great. He's completely retreated into himself, shrunk into one of the egg chairs with everything hunched in. A picture of misery and suffering. He's not getting any sympathy though.

JoJo4 : Would you want mortgage advice from a woman who can't read the words 'sargeant' or 'brigadier'? Someone better offer her a job glamour modelling, because I'm guessing her previous job could well be unavailable when she gets out...

Bear : This task is is turning into a flop because of Ahmed. Despite the probable failings of Michelle and Jason as sergeants themselves, Ahmed cannot take the tasks seriously enough to make it proper challenge. It would seriously be unfair if the sergeants go up for eviction because of blatant rule breaking by Ahmed. Jason is so weak in public support, it would be too much of a forgone conclusion. The task should be reviewed by BB in light of this.
