12.00 - 13.00

I'll be taking you up to 1pm, as the HM's are discussing what they brought into the House.

12.01: Victor says his girlfriend snitches on him to his mum. He talks about not wanting his son to go to firework displays as it's too loud and he might not like it, but his Mum and his girlfriend get their way. It's a softer side to Vic. I do wish Dan hadn't gone on about him saying "innit" all the time during nominations last week, because he does, and I'm noticing every one!

12.04: Stu fantasises about going round a supermarket and grabbing all the nice things he wants to eat. Vic cant wait to watch TV again. Stu borrows an empty fag packet to stick up his sleeve to make him look more authentic as his tough guy soldier persona. Dan says he looks like a smoker, which is not his image. They talk about what makes someone look like a smoker, as we go to another break.

12.10: Vic's hungry while Stu and Michelle are feeding off each other. "Have there been any meals today?" he asks, while Shell regales them with what she's going to cook today. It's just general chit chat at the moment, a bit of a relief after all the shouting and arguing I woke up to.

12.12: BB has just spoken, I missed the beginning, but the Privates have to go to the sofas. Nadia and Ahmed appear, as Vic says this is going to be harder than the potatoes. Is it boot cleaning? Ahmed doesn't look happy, whatever it is. Yup, there's a pile of boots in the garden. Tee Hee, I'm guessing they wont enjoy this.

12.15: Michelle is waiting for all the motley troops to assemble so she can read the laminate out. They commiserate with the poor git who's had to make them muddy! Not as much as I commiserate with the poor HM's who have to clean them!

12.17: The task is to clean and polish 200 boots without a mark on them, including the soles and BB has provided cloths, boot polish, gloves etc for the task. Shell organises them into a team, with hosers, scrubbers and polishers in a chain. There's no sign of Jason as they look to Michelle for leadership. E4 goes to a break.

12.25: The sound dips, as Dan says they'll have to have a second rinsing. Shell says it smells like a cobblers, as the garden is taken over by our merry band scrubbing and polishing.
Oh dear, it sounds as if Ahmed has gone into the DR as Michelle says she's starting to get annoyed as he's refusing to do anything. Dan suggests a firing squad!
While we wait for Ahmed to reappear, Michelle and Jase look on as the sound of hoses and scrubbing fills the air. Dan tries to sort things out on the chain.

12.30: Nadia is scrubbing for all her worth, as Diplomat Stu says that Ahmed should at least do one boot so that all the HM's have participated. If I was in there, one of the boots would be sailing not too gently through the air at said unwilling HM!
Dan says the lawn is going to be in a right mess, as Michelle worries that they'll have to run round it later on. I presume she means the assault course. A close up of the boots shows that they are truly filthy. Still no sign of Ahmed.

12.32: Dan asks if Ahmed is still in the gas chamber as we go to another break.

12.37: Not much to report, just a hive of (Ahmedless) activity. Sergeant Jase now has his uniform on. Ah, Ahmed has appeared, and says to Jase that he will polish the boots inside, not in the open. He tells Jay what they said in the DR, but the sound has been dipped and I cant hear it properly.

12.40: Nadia says her arm hurts. Dan realises there's no brushes. I presume Jase is still trying to reason with Ahmed. How fed up are the others going to be with him?

12.47: I can hear Jase in the background. Nadia is asking if they've failed, but I dont know why. Vic is trying to coax Ahmed into sitting in the warm to polish some boots, while Pollyanna (aka Shell) is eulogising over the smell of boot polish "Just like a real cobblers". Jase is trying to wheedle Ahmed's sentry duty times. Why are they humouring him? Jase I can understand. All Ahmed is worried about is being thrown out, he's stirring a honey and lemon drink in the bedroom and trying to give the impression he's dying. Dan has been ill, I didn't hear him moan in the same way. Dan is being dismissive of him, saying illness, to him, isn't a few sniffles as Jase desperately tries to keeps the peace (and his nomination prospects) as he's saying that Ahmed must keep warm and get a decent sleep. I'm surprised the others are taking this, although Dan isn't. It is quite funny to watch though.

12.55: We come back from yet another ad break to find they are still working. They haven't downed tools. Jae goes to see Ahmed, who is skiving in the bedroom still. This task has really shown Ahmed up hasn't it. It really is hilarious to hear Jason trying to humour him. He's now refusing to do his next sentry duty and that BB told him to ask the Sergeant to use his discretions...LOVELY! Jason pleads with him to polish some boots, while Ahmed feels sorry for himself. Michelle comes in angrily telling Ahmed they've failed the task because of him, the sound dips as she marches around. She really tears into Ahmed telling him about using a china cup. Ahmed tells her not to wotty as he'll be thrown out. "I hope you do" retorts Michelle. She is so angry with him. "He's ruining it for the whole group". Too true Michelle.

OK, I was going to stop there, but as it looks to be kicking off and no one is down to do the next hour, I'll do a DJ Update, so get those messages rolling in.
