Good morning and welcome to the start of DS:BB's live updates from the boot camp hell that is the BB House. The HM's are starting to get on each others nerves after arguments about smoking and eating on Sentry duty and paranoia from Sergeant Jason about failing the task! Michelle and Jason have been like yo yos in and out of the DR as they try to establish exactly what the rules are. Dan has probably hit it on the head, by saying that the only thing that's being tested is their tolerance levels. One message before I start the Updates:- jacci : 6.30am Ahmed failed!!! he drank out of the house crockery instead of out of his billy can !!!!!
Did he? I was fast asleep then! Anyway, on with the action.
11.02: Dan has been demoted from Lance Corporal back to Private, by Jason as he's insubordinate. I think they're joking....the others are all Privates aren't they? Dan is ordered to make Jason a grated cheese and toast snack which he does.
11.04: Dan and Shelle sing Waltzing Matilda as Dan prepares Dan's sandwich. He cant have toast because the toaster went wrong. Shell suggests putting jam on it as it wont be too dry. Jase tells them again he never asked to be Sergeant as we go to ad breaks.
11.10: As we come back Dan and Jase are still talking about Jase's earlier row with Nadia and her smoking. Jason thinks that smoking addiction can be cured by thinking of something else. Dan says he is a different make up than her. Shell says that everyone has to cope as best they can. Dan says he'll be there to step in if things kick off.
11.13: Dan thinks Nadia is very insecure and says that Jason's making such a fuss over the cigars last night played into those insecurities. Jason says that Nadia thinks he is picking on her for the smoking. He's off on a rant about her, justifying his opinions about Nadia's selfish smoking habit. "Why are you still talking about it?" says Dan, as Jase goes on and on about how he isn't a bully, hasn't a problem with people etc etc.
11.18: Dan tries to reason with Jason, saying he can be intimidating. In the BB House, Dan says he can appear quite threatening, just the tone of the voice. This ends in Dan saying he's finished as Jason still talks over him. Poor old Jase is genuinely puzzled as to how people think he's intimidating. Meanwhile Shell, in her inimitable way says that she totally understands why this task is so important (no you dont Shell!) and that they all have to work incredibly hard to get through this as the ciggies and the sweets run out. She hates this task as she doesn't like being deprived of sleep or having to call people "Sir"- it reminds her of Boarding School, but they all have to knuckle down. Ad break
What to Read Next
11.26: Jason is still rambling on when we return from the break. He's on about Shell and Dan being the peace makers and they let Nadia rant and rave when they were arguing. Jay thinks that they didn't support him, but Shell says that she is quite intimidated by Nadia. Shell says she doesn't want to get involved with her.
11.30: In the garden, Private Stu is hiding under a tin bath while Sergeant M is trying to coax him out "Come on Chicken" she shouts, as the tin bath moves around the garden making shooting noises. I really think Stuart has regressed in age since he went in the House, or maybe it's his way of coping. He is having a shoot out with Michelle at the moment. All that can be heard is the sound of them making gun noises!
11.32 : Back inside, Jase is still going on about Shell and Dan not fulfilling their role. Shell says it's not right that she should be the mother when others are too argumentative and being childish. Looks like Jase is blaming Dan and Shell for his recent argument with Nadia. Nothing to do with the two of them being full on when they disagree then?
11.34: Shell says she understands Jay's point of view and she'll try her best to be the Diplomat. As he goes on and on, with Shell apologising for not stopping Nadia and Jay blowing each other off, we go to a break. (Shell almost apologises for being herself doesn't she? She wants to please everyone all the time...aint gonna happen, love. Stand up for yourself!)
11.39: Stu is still in the garden playing soldiers with Michelle. He's lying on the grass making binoculars with his hands, until M asks him to open the door to the House. (She's carrying a pile of stuff weaing the top half of her uniform, leg warmers and stillettos..weird!)
11.42: Jason has finally shut up and is preening himself. There's a shot of Victor, fast asleep, while Dan and Stu are back in the bedroom. Stu and Michelle are exchanging loving looks awww. There's a bad smell in the bedroom apparently, or are they talking about the Sergeants mess?
Milo : I've been reading on here from the start & I must agree BB5 is the best yet.
I see alot of people want Jason & Victor out of the house but I do not understand why? Without these 2 & possibly Ahmed BB5 would be as boring as last years BB so I want to see them stay.
If they were all like Stu & Shell it would be soooooo boring so KEEP the jungle cats in to keep BB5 lively & worth watching.
11.45: Shell gets excited over the thought of a passing out ball, like a ceileidh. Vic says why not have a Nigerian one, as he quotes that classic line "I love the smell of napalm in the morning". Apocalypse Now might well happen before the end of this task Vic! He agrees that the room does smell funny. It's the Sergeant's Mess they're talking about then. Vic says he feels like he's just woken up and asks what he's missed. Only WW3 with Jase and Nadia, Vic.
11.50: Vic reckons that it's quite a cool task as they haven't had a lot to do apart from the spud peeling task, even though they were woken up by the bugle at 8ish.
Michelle says that Stu can make her some toast in a minute. Stu is wowing about seeing the helicopter and the soldier abseiling down yesterday, when E4 takes another break.
orange ball : this task is great. wait until the privates find they have been working hard to nominate themselves! can michelle really be breaking all the rules to ensure she and jason are nominated? no! she doesnt get it does she!! jasons desperately trying to get the privates to comply and she is going to fail it for them anyway. classic.
I agree, I think this is one of the best tasks EVER..in 5 seasons of BB. Evil indeed
11.55: Peace reigns throughout the House, as they all share a bit of chilling out time. Vic is regaling them of his dreams- food and women. "What did you dream about?" Michelle asks Stu. "Everybody knows", says Stu, still unconscious to the fact that they were teasing him the other day. He said he dreamed of Team Handsome, to which the others rib him again. A bit of reminiscing from Stu about Team Handsome, as I'll just change hours.
