Big Brother sprung another surprise on his captives today during a fancy dress party to celebrate the housemates' successful completion of their Football Fans task.
Following Friday's mock-eviction, Michelle and Emma have been hiding out in Big Brother's secret bedsit for five days - with no windows, natural light or fresh air, just unpleasant 70's decor, pot noodles and a big TV on which to watch the action in the house. It must be said that the girls made a good job of making themselves at home.
But today Big Brother had them dress up for a fancy dress party and told them they'd be returning to the house - in an hour. They were then issued with instructions to stealthily hide themselves under the kitchen table with their heads hidden under big silver serving dishes on the party spread, before the unsuspecting housemates were released to investigate the party which had been laid on for them.
Whilst excitedly looking round the food table, Marco lifted the first dish to reveal a grinning Emma, shortly followed by Michelle emerging to shrieks from everyone.
Prior to making their return, Michelle and Emma concocted a cover story of having had a dull week in a room with a chaperone, and decided not to reveal that they'd been watching on TV, or that they were responsible for the punishments meted out by Big Brother this week. However, traffic warden Emma blew her cover to her arf-arf buddies nicotine-withdrawing Nadia and Gaultier-sailor boy Marco almost immediately - until interrupted by Shell, who suggested a celebratory round of naked mudwrestling. Looks like being a long night for DigitalSpy reporters.
Michelle followed suit before long, spilling the beans to her chicken Stu.
It would be fair to say not everyone was entirely pleased - Dan looked darkly pensive until he remembered to smile and feign happiness - and Victor, Jason and Vanessa looked very disturbed. Clown-faced Victor didn't make any attempt to hide his displeasure, telling Jay "I am NOT f***ing happy."
