This week’s task saw the two teams going to visit the island of Jersey, with each group being tasked with securing nine separate items under both time and budgetary constraints.

As one team was fined over £200, with Lord Alan Sugar remarking that it was the “worst performance” in this particular task, he made the decision to bring all members of the team back before the axing.

After much deliberation, Lord Sugar made the decision to fire Jack Davies and Amina Khan, with the first double elimination of the series meaning only 13 candidates remain as they take on Formula-E next week.

“That Jersey task was absolutely amazing,” said Jack during an appearance on The Apprentice: You're Fired!. “I was in my element with all the negotiating. I was gutted but I was really shocked.

“It might have been my downfall - in my head I was like, ‘I’m not going here as I did a good negotiation but the rest of the team didn’t do as well.’ I was buzzing when everybody came back in - I thought I was off the hook, but obviously I wasn’t.”

“I loved it - I’m so grateful as it’s one of the best things that ever happened to me,” remarked Amina following her exit. “Meeting Lord Sugar was a massive fangirling moment, I was just thinking ‘wow he’s really sitting in front of me’. He’s brilliant.

“I was shocked he brought everybody back in. I’m always a fighter, so I was in my element. I knew I was going to go down, so I thought I was going to take Jack down with me - sorry Jack! Those items were like a foreign language.”

The Apprentice airs on Thursdays at 9pm on BBC One, with spin-off series You're Fired airing immediately afterwards on BBC Two.
