Strictly Come Dancing's Karen Hauer has gone public with her new partner, ex-rugby player Simon Davidson.

Amid speculation that first began last month when the pair were reportedly seen leaving a hotel together, Karen and Simon have now confirmed their relationship on Instagram with a loved-up hillside photo.

"Things can change in an instant. Try to live in the moment, you never know what may happen," wrote Simon, while Karen reposted the shot alongside an animated heart.

It's almost three months since Karen's third husband Jordan Wyn-Jones confirmed their separation.

"It's a bit of a love story, a sad story," he told The Mail on Sunday at the time. "I'm incredibly sad not to be in Karen's life and not be on this journey with her, but we're not right for each other in terms of her career.

"I will always admire her for her career but it took her away from me a lot. Karen's dedicated to her career, which she has worked really hard for. She's amazing and I admire her for it. That's one of the reasons I wanted to marry her – because of how powerful she is.

"If we'd stayed together and we didn't have a family, I felt I would have ended up resenting her. This is the perfect moment for us to love each other and leave each other."

Karen was also previously married to ex-Strictly champion Kevin Clifton.

On their 2018 divorce, she reflected last year: "It was the most difficult thing I've faced on my own – and, I guess, in a spotlight. It's almost like you want to hide and go into your own little cocoon."

Strictly Come Dancing will return later this year on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.

Tickets for Strictly's 2024 live arena tour are available now.
