Love Island is returning to ITV with its first All Stars series — and the premiere date has just been confirmed.

The reality series will kick off on Monday, January 15 on ITV2 and ITVX. It'll all kick off at 9pm, as per usual.

The cast list hasn't been officially revealed just yet, though we know one familiar face who won't be back for the Maya Jama hosted show.

Zara Lackenby-Brown, from last year's winter series, revealed on her YouTube channel recently that she wasn't selected for the final line-up.

"However, I have recently been informed that I did not make the cut. But it’s all good. I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. If my reappearance on the show isn’t meant to be, it just means that I’m destined to take a different path."

Zara added: "When one door closes, another one will surely open. I'll always be grateful for my first appearance on Love Island."

Of course, Islanders have returned to the villa for another crack at finding love before, but between All Stars and Love Island Games, there are more and more opportunities for former contestants to return.

Summer 2022 series winner Davide Sanclimenti recently spoke about the trend of returnees, expressing his belief that there should be a strict limit on how often people go on the show and its various incarnations.

"I think one time is allowed to everyone, the second one is still fine. I think the third one, no. I wouldn't go over three. Two is the maximum, probably," he told Radio Times.

Love Island: All Stars begins on January 15 on ITV2 and ITVX.
