Celebrity Race Across The World will be returning to BBC One.
The all-star spin-off of the BBC's Race Across the World competition show has officially been picked up for a second series, to air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, after becoming the biggest factual BBC franchise of the year thus far.
Catherine Catton, the BBC's Head of Commissioning for Factual Entertainment and Events, announced the renewal: "We would like to thank our cast for putting their heart and soul into it, and we are delighted with the reaction, particularly from young audiences on iPlayer. We are very much looking forward to working with Studio Lambert on the next series."

"Audiences seem pleased that the difficult and disarming undertaking of the Race was not watered down for well-known personalities and their loved ones," executive producer Tim Harcourt said.
"We are thrilled to be making another series for the BBC.”
The first series was won by Good Morning Britain host Alex Beresford and his father Noel last month, when they managed to get from Marrakesh, Morocco, to the finish line in Tromsø, Norway.
The celebrity series was originally set to premiere on September 13, but was briefly delayed out of sensitivity due to the devastating earthquake in Morocco (where the premiere episode took place).

The cast for the first series also included McFly drummer Harry Judd and his mum Emma, All Saints singer Mel Blatt and her mum Helene, and Channel 4 F1 pundit Billy Monger and his sister Bonny.
They were tasked with travelling to far-flung places across the globe with only the cash equivalent of a one-way plane ticket to each location, though they couldn't actually use planes.
Race Across the World and its Celebrity spin-off are available to stream on the BBC iPlayer.
