Married at First Sight UK star Ella Morgan has hit back at the "transphobic and homophobic" trolls who have questioned JJ Slater's sexuality.
Ella and JJ recently returned to the experiment as a new couple, having previously left when it didn't work out with the original partners they were matched with.
Taking to her Instagram Story to address their romantic connection, Ella called out the trolls who have hurled "transphobic and homophobic slurs towards JJ" for simply being wither her.

"Having a guy who just sees me and accepts me for the woman I am, without caring what others say or think, is something I’ve never experienced, and being seen and treated as Ella, the girl I am, rather than label, is not something I’ve come across," Ella, who is the first trans contestant in the history of the show, began.
She continued: "I wasn't a dirty secret to JJ, or a fetish, and the fact he was not ashamed to walk back in with me, and proud to be with me so openly, shows how incredible he is as a cisgendered straight guy.

"JJ and the rest of the male cast hadn’t ever met a trans person before. To go on a national television show with a transgender woman, knowing the hate he would get from narrow-minded people, takes guts."

Ella also shared a post from MAFS UK season seven star Thomas Hartley, which read: "Anyone who questions JJ’s sexuality for being with Ella, first of all you’re a f**king idiot who either has shit in their eyes or custard for brains.
"Using transphobia or homophobia to show disdain for their situation is disgusting, ignorant and weak-minded.
"As a gay man, I appreciate Ella’s beauty but she is a WOMAN, I don’t find her sexually attractive. The fact this is even questioned or has to be explained is just idiocy of the highest order. Open your eyes."
"Amen!" Ella replied on her Story. "I am a straight woman, not a man, JJ is a straight man who is only attracted to women, which I am, so JJ is clearly not gay for being with me because, once again, I am not a man."
