Taking part in an Instagram Q&A with fans, the reality TV personality was asked if the couple were still together, and he said: "Hey, no, we actually separated about 3 weeks ago. We are still friends, there is no bad blood or anything.

"We have worked out the best way of doing it for the kids, which for me and Emma is always gunna be the most important thing. We both deserve to be happy as well as being parents."

The last photo Beadle put of McVey on his Instagram was in mid-September, wishing her a happy birthday and calling her "the best mummy and wife" and joking that she doesn't look a day over 20 and still gets asked for ID when buying energy drinks.

At the time of writing, McVey hasn't acknowledged the split on her social media.

Beadle's ex, Charlotte Crosby, took part in the Geordie Shore anniversary series last year, and admitted to Digital Spy that she was "actually really, really worried" about their old relationship being brought up on the show.

"Obviously me and Gary were a huge part of Geordie Shore, and I knew that it was going to get brought up a lot, and I knew that it was going to be played on because obviously it's going to be played on," she said.

"Everyone wants to know, everyone wants to talk about it. So I really did worry, because I was in a new relationship with Jake, and it's something that we've never spoken about.
