Former The Only Way is Essex star Megan McKenna has revealed a "nightmare" injury after boiling gravy accidentally hit her head.
The reality star, who was on the ITVBe series between 2016 and 2017, opened up about the accident in a new post on her Instagram Stories, showing the extent of the blisters on her face.
"So before you freak, I've had a bit of an accident as you can see," she began, before explaining how the incident occurred.

"Honestly you can't even write it," Megan continued. "It's obviously caught the side of my face. It looks so much better now and it's in the healing process, so it's a little bit rank. I've got a huge blister behind my ear, my ear literally feels like it is hanging off.
"So obviously after it happened, thank god my mum knew what she was doing, she dragged me over to the sink and she was just spraying me with water for half an hour and honestly if that hadn't happened, I don't know what it would have looked like."

Megan went on to reveal that there were a "couple of hours of stress" afterwards, before explaining that she wanted to speak out now ahead of her birthday so that fans knew why her face had blisters.
"Obviously I didn't want you messaging: 'OMG what's happened?', so that's what's happened. Absolute nightmare, couldn't write it but I am on the mend and it's all good," the star added, before quipping: "I still love gravy."
Since then, Megan has shared a selfie from bed with her thumbs up and thanked fans for their support.
Meanwhile, back in June Megan announced that she is engaged to partner Oliver Burke after five months together.
