Gemma Collins has branded The Only Way Is Essex as "terrible" now.

The reality star initially rose to fame on the ITVBe show, though made her last appearance back in 2019.

However, in a new interview, Gemma revealed that she recently watched the current iteration of the show, admitting she isn’t a fan of where it's gone.

“I watched it the other night and I’ll never get those minutes of my life back," she said (via The Mirror). "What’s happened? There were about two scenes in it. Chloe Brockett was good, and the new girl Elma [Pazar], but the rest of them were terrible.

“There’s no stars there, darling – we were stars."

Elsewhere, last month the reality star recalled fearing her "time was up" after a recent health scare that saw her admitted to hospital.

"The palpitations got so bad I thought I was having a heart attack," Gemma told OK!. "I called an ambulance and the paramedics did an ECG [electrocardiogram] and said: 'We need to take you to hospital'."

She added: "I said to myself: 'Great, this is it. My time is up'. But, thank God, it was a condition called costochondritis, which can cause severe chest pain and happens because of coughing or an infection.

"I think I got it from being constantly run-down and ill. I do think I've got long COVID, because I haven't been able to shift it and it's been in my system for months. I've been so unwell, and it doesn’t matter what I take or do, it's not going."

The Only Way Is Essex airs on ITVBe.
