The Masked Singer reveals are always entertaining, especially so if whoever is behind the mask has done as they are told and not spilled the secret to their family.

That is what happened when Roman Kemp watched his parents being unmasked as Cat and Mouse on the reality TV show on Saturday (January 14).

Presented by Joel Dommett and featuring judges Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross and Rita Ora, the latest episode saw the show's first-ever duo eliminated.

Roman was shocked, embarrassed and proud in equal measure going by his social media posts when the masks came off and he realised the duo was his mum and dad – Martin and Shirlie Kemp.

He posted a TikTok of him staring in shock at the reveal and then took to Twitter where he wrote "ARE YOU F**KING JOKING #MaskedSingerUK", before posting another tweet writing "Fair play" and tagging his parents.

He also posted a hilarious video of his actual reaction on Twitter as he was watching the show with his parents and sister, which showed him shouting that he knew it was them before giving his mum a big hug.

When the couple were quizzed about why they decided to take part, they admitted they were just doing it to embarrass their kids, which is pretty hilarious.

When Dommett asked if Roman knew they were going on the show, they revealed all.

"No, this is gonna embarrass him! Most people say they're doing it for their kids..." smiled Shirlie, with her husband chipping in: "We're doing it just to embarrass him!"

Shirlie later tweeted that they had told Roman and his sister that they were going away for the weekend when they were filming.

She tweeted: "And to think, our kids thought we were on a romantic getaway… #MaskedSingerUK."
