Love Island has released trailers for its 2023 winter series, with Maya Jama joining as host.

The clips for the dating show were shared to ITV's Instagram page, with Jama's being captioned: "New year, new series, new host. Let’s do this."

The presenter has taken over hosting duties from Laura Whitmore on the ITV2 show, and she already looks right at home.

When she was announced as the new host, ITV2 executive Paul Mortimer said: "Cool, charming and charismatic, I speak for us all when I say Maya will also bring a unique presenting style to the show."

If you're not familiar with Jama's work, you may recognise her from The Circle, Walk the Line, Big Fat Quiz of the Year and A League of Their Own Road Trip. She's also a regular on BBC Radio 1.

Her own love life has been a talking point, with her breakup from rapper Stormzy hitting the headlines in 2019, after four years together.

The channel also shared a clip of a pink bucking bronco, embroidered with a glittery love heart, with the show's iconic music playing on top.

It was captioned: "Are you ready to grab love by the horns? You know what's coming when you hear this noise."

Laura Whitmore announced she was stepping down as host earlier this year, with travel being one factor in her decision.

At the time, she said: "There are certain elements of the show I've found very difficult that cannot be changed some due to the format, including the flying back and forth to South Africa along with my new conflicting projects."

No official start date has been announced for the new series yet, but it's expected to begin in January 2023 and we're excited to see Jama at the helm.

Love Island will return in early 2023 with new host Maya Jama. It airs on ITV2, and is available via catch up on ITVX and BritBox.
