The Traitors spoilers follow.

The Traitors' Kieran Tompsett has reacted to the reality show's finale episode and shared a message for fellow contestant – and Traitor – Wilfred Webster.

In last night's (December 22) dramatic episode, Wilf turned against Kieran by taking advantage of the other players' suspicions of him.

Kieran received the most votes and was banished as a result, but not before repaying the favour and casting his vote for Wilf as a "parting gift", informing Aaron, Hannah, and Meryl that he was the last Traitor.

Despite the pair ultimately betraying each other, Kieran took to Twitter to praise Wilf for pulling it off right until the end.

He wrote: "Can we give a moment for this Man made the best TV in years, without him the show would not be as good as it was ! Epic battle.

"Wilfred you were a worthy opponent thank you for the memories!"

While some viewers thought Kieran's "parting gift" made for good TV, others believed it worked against the "format" of the show.

One fan commented: "I strongly feel your 'parting gift' was way too much, Will played a perfect game and didn't deserve to lose from a comment that shouldn't be allowed.

"Will turned on other traitors but acting as a faithful with suspicions, you admitted to being a traitor & then outed him, not fair."

Meanwhile, Maddy Smedley has discussed some of the clues that she felt gave Wilfred away as a Traitor, saying that she found his reaction to Claire Barratt's exit a bit suspicious.

The Traitors airs on BBC One and is available to catch up on via BBC iPlayer.
