The Traitors spoilers follow.

Tonight's (December 13) episode of The Traitors got off to an interesting start as we found out that Alex had turned down the offer to join the Traitors.

Following last week's shock exit of Traitor Alyssa after she was brutally betrayed by fellow Traitor Wilf, the remaining Traitors were given the opportunity to recruit another member.

"We wish to recruit you as a traitor because you are strong, assertive and charismatic," Alex read from the invite.

As our Traitors Amanda and Wilf waited in the tower, presenter Claudia Winkleman knocked on the door revealing: "Traitors, Alex rejected your offer of seduction."

"I’ve seen how heavy the crown of being a Traitor weighs on the heads of those sat around that table, and after experiencing how intense it is to be a Faithful, I don’t think I'll be able to do it. I may end up regretting this decision, but I still feel like as a Faithful I could potentially stay all the way. So, for that reason, I will politely decline the offer to become a Traitor," Alex said.

Having declined the offer, everyone survived the night and made it to breakfast, and Alex chose to conceal her recruitment offer.

A challenge saw the contestants rolling barrels of whisky up a hill to a distillery, with 72-year-old Andrea excelling at the task.

During an explosive roundtable, Alex admitted her secret to the shocked room and lots of accusations were thrown around.

Ultimately, the Faithfuls chose to banish Rayan, failing, yet again, to identify the Traitors in their midst.

“I have had a really good time in here and I'm grateful for that even if it is cut short today. But... I am a Faithful," Rayan admitted.

Ending on another cliffhanger, we will have to wait until tomorrow's episode to see who the Traitors chose to murder out of Alex and Amos.

The Traitors continues on BBC One and iPlayer next week. Watch the first three episodes on BBC iPlayer now.
