The Chase positions itself as The Chasers versus Bradley Walsh and his team in each episode, and we often see the host getting to know the contestants before they test their knowledge.
But Chaser Anne Hegerty has admitted that sometimes, Bradley takes a little bit too long chin-wagging with the contestants, and jokes that it can get annoying for herself and the producer.
Speaking to the Daily Star, the Governess said: "He sometimes has the tendency to chat on and on and on with contestants and we're sitting down at the bottom with The Chase's producer, who doubles as the show's editor, and he's like 'for goodness sake, Brad! This is all coming out' and makes snip gestures."

Fellow Chaser Jenny Ryan added: "Sometimes Brad does act a little bit dim to wind us up and he pretends he doesn't know a thing. When [he's] actually incredibly one of the most switched-on humans there is, he's just doing it for a joke.
"Also, when he drinks too much coffee in the morning he talks a bit too fast, too."

Jenny also added that the Chasers have their own WhatsApp group chat that Bradley isn't allowed in, but that's fine, because the quiz brains constantly trade the stats and it would "drive him up the wall", and he would do the same to them.
Earlier this year, The Chase boss Sue Allison talked about how the Cash Builder round didn't exist at first, and coming up with it added some much-needed excitement to the first part of the show before the Chaser comes out.
The Chase airs on ITV.
