Married at First Sight UK star Lara Eyre has spoken her time on the show, claiming her husband Richie Dewes was "performing" and acted differently when the cameras weren't rolling.
Lara who had been paired up with guitarist Richie, made the comments during an interview with The Sun, saying: "It felt like I was dating a TV presenter because Richie was always acting whenever they were filming and concerned with how people would perceive him.
"When the cameras were off, Richie kept to himself and wasn't as enthusiastic or caring, he didn't ask much about me except for when they were filming."

She continued: "How can you make a relationship work if someone's performing? I was there for realness and he wanted to come off looking fantastic."
Despite the seemingly frosty relationship, the couple had made it to the second commitment ceremony before eventually deciding to exit the show. Reflecting on her time, dancer Lara added that she wished she'd been "more honest" during the process.

"I'm a little sad about it. If I was with someone who was more real maybe we would have had a chance," she said. "He kept saying, 'Everything is great, she's great,' and thanking me for his Eat Pray Love journey, which stopped me from saying what I felt.
"Maybe I should have been more honest and said, 'This is not what happens when we're back at the apartment', but I was trying to be respectful."

Lara's comments are in contrast to her husband's recollection of his time on the show. In a recent interview Richie praised the MAFS producers, saying that while he was sad footage of him talking to Lara's dad didn't make the final edit, he was largely happy with how he was portrayed on the show.
"You really have to put your faith in the production company from the very start to get the most out of the experience and for me, it's definitely been so far so good," he said.
"You try to be as true to yourself as possible throughout the experiment but let's face it, there's always going to be times you look away from the screen but that's life."
