They may have left the villa together in fifth place, but Love Island's Paige Thorne has admitted she initially needed some persuasion to get to know Adam Collard.
Talking to Fubar Radio, Paige said she was initially put off talking to Adam by some of the things the other girls in the villa had said about him, and the fact that she didn't know who he was.
However, she said producers convinced her otherwise: "I got pulled aside and they were like, 'Paige, why are you already writing him off before you've had a chance?'

"I was like, because of what the girls have been saying. I don't need to have a chat with him to know there's not going to be a difference, and they were like 'no, be open-minded and just talk to him and give him a chance'."
As for what put Paige off Adam in the first place, she said: "I was just like, what is the point, he's just going to be a massive player, I'm not in here for a player, I'm here for something serious."
Before Adam entered the villa, Paige had a bit of a turbulent time, initially paired with Luca Bish (who ultimately ended up with Gemma Owen), and then coupling up with Jacques O'Neill, before his flirtations with other girls in Casa Amor led to trouble between the pair and Jacques ultimately quit the show.

Adam also recently admitted that one of the reasons he returned to the villa after his initial stint in season four of Love Island was because of the financial opportunities the show brings: "You are getting a few followers, if you have a business, like me, it's going to help amplify that and put you in a better situation and there's going to be loads of really good opportunities afterwards.
"So yes, everyone comes on and says 'I am here to find love' and that, yes you kind of are and obviously that is unreal, but nobody is daft," he said.
Love Island airs on ITV2 and is available via catch up on ITV Hub and Britbox.
