Celebrity Gogglebox favourite and broadcaster Gyles Brandreth has confirmed that he's been asked to take part in Strictly Come Dancing in the past – and he's also confirmed that he'll never say yes.
With the Strictly Come Dancing 2022 line-up now complete, Gyles has revealed why fans will never see him with a spray tan or in sequins.
At least not in the context of Strictly, anyway.

Following the news that TV and radio presenter Helen Skelton would be the series' 15th contestant, Gyles told followers on Twitter about the one "compelling reason" he has always turned down the offer to compete, despite "loving" the show.
"Yes, I have been approached about doing #Strictly (and I'm flattered because I love the show)," he wrote, "but sadly it's not for me for this compelling reason: I ain't got rhythm … I REALLY ain't got rhythm."

Fortunately, there are 15 other celebrities out there who have agreed to grace the Strictly dancefloor when the series returns this year.
Alongside Helen Skelton, the complete line-up for 2022 includes Animal Park presenter Hamza Yassin, X Factor star Fleur East, football legend Tony Adams, CBBC star Molly Rainford, Ted Lasso star Ellie Taylor, and Coronation Street's Will Mellor and Kym Marsh.
BBC Radio 2 star Richie Anderson, Loose Women presenter Kaye Adams, KISS FM radio DJ Tyler West, comedian Jayde Adams, Paralympian Ellie Simmonds, and Bros star Matt Goss are all on board, too.
Gogglebox airs on Friday nights at 9pm on Channel 4. Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One.
