Love Island spoilers follow.

Ronan Keating has reacted to his son Jack Keating entering Love Island's Casa Amor villa last night (July 3).

Ronan dialled into The One Show tonight (July 4) to share his true thoughts on Jack's dating show debut with Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas – and also revealed the advice he gave his boy when it came to looking for love.

"I'm a mess. I'm an absolute mess. Storm's [Ronan's wife] doing better than I am. We miss him in the house," Ronan revealed, sharing that his son had been on the waitlist for the latest series for about six weeks. They haven't been in close contact recently either, as Ronan said he hadn't spoken to Jack in two weeks while he's been isolating in Majorca before heading into the infamous second villa.

It turns out Ronan wasn't necessarily the biggest fan when Jack revealed his plans to go on the dating show either, as he admitted he's "a bit worried about him being in there with all those other guys" because he's such a "softie" with "a big heart".

But don't think the singer tried to talk Jack out of it, as he confessed he wouldn't have listened even if he had.

As for that all-important father/son advice he dished out? The Boyzone singer admitted: "I just said to him, 'Be yourself and have a good time. Be yourself,'" adding, "He's me boy, and I just want to protect him and look after him." Aww!

During the July 3 episode, fans saw Jack chatting with none other than Gemma Owen, the daughter of Michael Owen, as they got to know each other, and he opened up about his famous dad.

Those two aren't the only ones with a famous parent this year though, as Antigoni Buxton – who's since left the villa – also has a famous family member. The Bombshell's mum is Tonia Buxton, who you may recognise from the likes of Sunday Brunch, My Greek Kitchen and My Cypriot Kitchen.

Love Island airs on ITV2 and is available via catch-up on ITV Hub and Britbox.
