It's time to get excited as ITV has aired its first glimpse Love Island season 8, set to premiere this summer.

While only a few seconds long, the animated mini clips reference Millie Court's famous piano recital moment alongside a tagline of 'Love: We Own It'.

The show will also see a huge shakeup this summer, with the famous villa being ditched in favour of a new location in Majorca.

Despite rumours already beginning to circulate, there's been no official word on who will be joining the show in search for love. However, it is likely the upcoming contestants are in the process of being chosen.

Earlier this year, Love Island put out a casting call for hopefuls to apply for the show. The post read: "Happy New Year! Now, who fancies spending summer in paradise, with the hope of finding love?"

Laura Whitmore will return as Love Island host this season, along with real-life partner Iain Stirling providing the wise-cracking narration each night.

Laura recently responded when former contestant Rachel Finni insulted her as "not a great host", then insinuated she'd only got the Love Island job because she dated Stirling.

Writing on social media, Laura pointed out she has a lengthy CV: "I'm not going to give too much energy to it because there's always stuff like this and you kind of just brush it off but I think we need to be careful when we discuss women and their work."

The presenter added: "I've worked in telly for 14 years. I won a competition to be the face of MTV and have stayed working from job to job. I've done incredible things all over the world, I've worked with the best teams, but I've never got a job because of a guy I dated."

Love Island airs on ITV2 and is available via catch up on ITV Hub and Britbox.
