Teen First Dates couple hit it off over unusual theories

Tonight's episode (March 9) of Teen First Dates brought two conspiracy theory enthusiasts together for one very memorable date.

Returning contestant, 17-year-old Aliya, came into the bar armed with a positive attitude and some crystals – despite being unable to name all of them – for good energy. She was not about to leave things to luck after her last incident with love.

In the show's previous episode, Aliya had a nightmarish time where, after sharing her passion for vegetarianism with her date, she had been called 'dumb'.

"I just want someone to understand that I see the world differently than other people," she said in this episode.

Her date tonight was Josh, a 17-year-old apprentice landscaper from Preston who hoped to one day become privy to the existence of UFOs.

Luckily, the lad passed Aliya's first test, accepting her vegetarianism. Despite not understanding why she would feel bad for the animals – "they are dead anyway" – the young man quickly gave in, admitting he could see where she was coming from.

The pair's dinner, however, took a really exciting turn when the two discovered each other's enthusiasm for conspiracy theories.

Whether it was aliens' existence or how Stonehenge and the pyramids were built by them, there was no theory too off-putting for the young couple – which proved true a few minutes later when Aliya shocked Josh with her own secret belief.

"I think that the earth is flat," she said confidently, stunning Josh into silence.

The fashion student continued unfazed by her date's reaction and with unfailing passion went on to explain her theory.

"Because," she continued. "When you're on a plane and you look down, it's flat, right?"

While anyone else might have been left flabbergasted, Josh continued to prove the perfect date, respectfully admitting he could see where she was coming from, but did not fully agree with the statement just yet.

And the interesting conversation did not end there. While the two discussed their past vacations in Ibiza and Greece, Aliya revealed her dream vacation would be swimming with pigs in the ocean! A one of a kind experience indeed.

"Are you winding me up?" Josh asked, visibly confused.

"No you can swim with them, I promise!" said Aliya.

In the end, despite the two being happy to bounce theories off of each other, it was not meant to be for them. While Josh admitted to being quite taken with the young girl, finding her good-looking and intelligent, it was Aliya who did not feel the spark after all.

A girl with a firm belief in soulmates, Aliya had expressed from the beginning of the episode that if she could not see herself marrying a person there was no point in being with them.

Hopefully, the young enthusiast will find her prince charming soon.
