His Dark Materials season 3 is set to be all-out war, according to James McAvoy.
Taking a break from filming, McAvoy videoed in for an interview on The One Show yesterday (June 15), where co-host Ronan Keating asked how it was all coming along.

"Yeah, really good..." he chuckled, wary of stumbling into spoiler territory.
"What can I tell you? It's war. At the end of the second season we sort of declare war on the Kingdom of Heaven, so yeah it gets pretty down and dirty, and there's gonna be a lot of fisticuffs and a lot of explosions and all that stuff.
"But at its heart it's about a wee girl and a wee boy... and not the adults with the egos."

Back when the fantasy epic's second season came to a close, screenwriter Jack Thorne praised McAvoy for returning as Lord Asriel in a special finale cameo.
"Executive producer Dan McCulloch moved mountains to make it happen, and James McAvoy, very brilliantly and generously, came in and gave us a COVID day," he recalled.
"It's one of the things I most admire about James, he planted his feet and shouted at the sky, and it was glorious to see him do so.
"I am so so pleased it was kept a secret up to this point, and grateful to the previewers for not spoiling it."
His Dark Materials airs on BBC One in the UK and HBO in the US.
