Strictly Come Dancing pro Pasha Kovalev has opened up about "protecting" his wife and Countdown presenter Rachel Riley from online trolls as she prepares for the birth of their second child.
Rachel, 35, announced earlier this year that she was expecting another baby with dancer husband Pasha, 41.
Pasha said he is "very, very excited" to be a father again in a recent interview with OK!.
Revealing trolls affect his wife a lot, he explained how he is helping her through this challenging time.
"I'm very distant from this kind of thing," he said. "I never look at comments online and Rachel is trying to get a point across about racial abuse or domestic violence and she gets back very, I would say, ridiculous messages.
"People completely miss the point and speak about something totally irrelevant.

"I am trying to protect her as much as I can by providing a safe environment at home, that's all I can do and try to direct her attention to the good things."

Rachel and Pasha met in 2013 when they were paired together on Strictly.
They didn't start dating until the next year, and married in a small ceremony in 2019, welcoming daughter Maven the same year.
Now they have decided they would like Maven to have a little brother or sister but "didn't want there to be too much of a break or time between them so they could grow up together as close as possible," admitted Pasha.

He also gave an update on his wife's condition saying: "Every pregnancy is different but she is doing very well.
"She's in good health and good spirits so everything is fine. Nothing's too different from the first pregnancy actually."
Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One. It's due to return later in 2021.
