Ryan Seacrest has denied he suffered a stroke during American Idol's live finale on Sunday (May 17).

While broadcasting from his home for the final, Seacrest caused concern among viewers who thought he was exhibiting symptoms of a stroke.

Taking to Twitter, fans noted that his eyes appeared to be swollen and that he was having issues with his speech. He then didn't appear on Live With Kelly and Ryan on Monday morning, raising further concern.

However, a spokesperson for the presenter has since said that he didn't suffer a stroke, and also explained his absence for the Monday show.

"Ryan did not have any kind of stroke last night," his rep said in a statement to People. "Like many people right now, Ryan is adjusting to the new normal and finding work-home balance, with the added stress of having to put on live shows from home."

"Between Live with Kelly and Ryan, American Idol, On Air with Ryan Seacrest, and the Disney Family Singalong specials, he has been juggling three-four on-air jobs over the last few weeks and he's in need of rest," the statement continued.
