Nadine Coyle has said that she was approached to star in ITV's The Masked Singer, but decided against it for one specific reason.
In the end, Nadine's former Girls Aloud bandmate Nicola Roberts was crowned the champion of the series, but perhaps it could have all been so different if the former had accepted the offer.
In conversation with OK! magazine, Nadine explained that the series felt "too close" to what she already does.

"I didn't see the show but I recognised her voice on an advert, so I knew it was her," she said of Nicola's involvement.
"They did ask me to be on the show but I said no. It felt a bit too close to what I already do for a living. But it's such a fun and great concept!"

Elsewhere in the interview, Nadine was quizzed on her relationship with the Girls Aloud gang.
