It's been an emotional series of Love Island, but after six weeks of South African romance we have the first winners of the winter version.

Four couples made it through to tonight's (February 23) live final on ITV2: Paige Turley and Finley Tapp, Jess Gale and Ched Uzor, Demi Jones and Luke M, and finally Siannise Fudge and Luke T.

Presenter Laura Whitmore was on hand to stoke the anticipation in front of an excited crowd, but eventually it was confirmed that Paige and Finley had received the most votes and were crowned the winning couple.

Jess and Ched exited the final first via fourth place, while Demi and Luke M were given third spot.

In the post-vote interviews, both couples admitted they never expected to be competing in the final, so were happy with the end result either way.

Once their runners-up position had been announced, Siannise and Luke T also sat down with Whitmore to reflect on their life-changing journey together.

"What an experience, I can't even describe how amazing it was honestly..." said Luke, while his partner added "Incredible, and like we said, we win everyday just having each other."

In the end, Paige and Finley decided to split the £50,000 prize (no surprises there), which will no doubt go on their shared Manchester apartment once they're back on home soil.

Congratulations!
