Strictly Come Dancing 2019 contestant Michelle Visage has hit back at reports that she 'stormed out' of Blackpool following her elimination over the weekend.

The RuPaul's Drag Race judge became the latest celebrity to be voted off Strictly this weekend, though has been subject to tabloid reports that she quickly left after getting the boot, allegedly leaving the afterparty early as well.

Appearing on today's (November 19) Lorraine, Michelle cleared the air, saying: "Storm out of where? They said I stormed out of actual Blackpool, so I thought did I go into the ocean? Where did I go exactly? Liverpool? Manchester?

"No, I actually went to the party until about 3.30 in the morning, was dancing all night with Neil [Jones] and Alex [Scott] and Oti [Mabuse] and Kelvin [Fletcher] and Gio [Pernice], we were just having a really good time."

She added: "The press has kind of been at it with me, and I think its kind of I'm the American, I have a big mouth, I am a strong woman and I think people try to take you down, they do it to you as well.

"We're in the limelight, and when you're in the limelight you are always at risk of that, so it is what it is. But none of it's true. I'm a party girl, and I love people, I'm the one who will sign every autograph and stay until the end if I can, unless my train or bus is leaving. No way."

Michelle also addressed claims that she was frustrated by not being included in the upcoming Strictly tour.

"There's a lot of controversy with that too, and I think the press is trying to make something out of that," the star continued. "I wanted to do it, I wasn't asked to do it, I think there was a complication at the beginning with dates.

"But at the end of the day, it's going to be a great tour. I will not be on it. I would love to, I'm gutted. But again it's the way it goes. Sometimes you can't win everything, sometimes you've just got to go out with your head held high."

Following her exit, this week Michelle clashed online with former Strictly pro James Jordan after he criticised her dance on Twitter.

Strictly Come Dancing 2019 continues on Saturday (November 23) at 7pm on BBC One.
