Strictly Come Dancing pro Aljaz Skorjanec and his celebrity partner Emma Weymouth have responded to Craig Revel Horwood's critique of their Charleston, which they performed last Saturday during the Halloween special.

While most of the judges were impressed, handing out three eights for their performance, the sharp-tongued Craig Revel Horwood scored them a six and described their dance as "lame".

And on tonight's (October 31) episode of Strictly: It Takes Two, Emma and Aljaz sat down with host Zoe Ball to talk about their experience so far.

When asked for a response to Craig's comments, Aljaz said: "You know what, you can never please everyone."

He later added: "Honestly, as a teacher on the show, it breaks your heart, because you put hours and hours and every single second of the day into it, and all you want to do is go and execute what you rehearsed.

"But when the dance finished, I talked to Emma straight away when we got off the floor that this was the first time you didn't just dance, you actually went and performed, and you enjoyed yourself. Because every single week, it's normal to get nervous, but this was the first time you didn't get nervous and you did everything I asked you to do."
