Another Sunday Brunch guest made a bit of a gaffe during this morning's edition of the Channel 4 show – but not because she swore before the watershed.

Instead, as Friday Night Dinner dinner star Tracy Ann Oberman reflected on social media trolling and having received the odd "dick pic", she was more upset to learn that "dick" was a word that warranted an apology, rather than saying it in the first place.

For those wondering, "dick" actually ranks as 'strong' on Ofcom's ranking of swear words in order of offensiveness, meaning that it probably shouldn't be said on TV at 10.50am on a Sunday morning.

"I spoke out and the next thing I knew, a barrage of abuse was coming my way," the actress said this morning (September 29).

"And it was fascinating because I hadn't had it in 10 years. Never as a performer, maybe you get the odd dick pic or something, but you block it."

Both Tracy Ann and hosts Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer appeared to take a bit of time to realise what had been said, with the apology actually coming a bit later on.

"Can I just say, as a TV show, we apologise for you mentioning the inappropriate picture, just in case anyone's offended," Tim said.

"Oh, I'm so sorry," Tracy Ann replied. "Is that a rude word still?"

"I don't know, it's on the edge," Tim admitted. "But it's a Sunday morning, so let me just apologise and it's easier."

And while viewers didn't appear to be particularly offended by the word, many were amused by the whole exchange anyway:

It's not the first time the Sunday Brunch hosts have had to apologise for a guest, with the latest example happening just a few weeks ago as Gyles Brandreth reflected on Love Island star Maura Higgins' time in the villa.

Sunday Brunch airs on Channel 4.
