Celebs Go Dating narrator Rob Beckett has been called out by viewers for his choice of words during Megan Barton Hanson's date yesterday (August 6).

The bisexual Love Islander met up with a couple of women in the episode, one named Maisie and the other Natascha, but Rob chose to refer to these as a "Lady date".

It's safe to say that didn't go down too well with viewers.

Fans of the show soon cottoned on to Rob's awkward terminology, with one person writing on Twitter: "'Lady date' why put a label on it #CelebsGoDating."

Another said: "If you don't refer to Nathan's [Henry] date as a mandate ... then why refer to meghans date as a lady date .. #celebsgodating [sic]."

Someone else also found the whole thing a little uncomfortable, as they shared: "The commentary for Megan's date is so...uncomfortable?? feels like they're really sexualising it being two women #CelebsGoDating."

Another person wrote: "Is it weird that Rob referring to Megan’s date as a ‘lady date’ is creeping me out ?? Seriously, that phrase is bugging me out — anyone else have issue with it ??"

Meanwhile, one viewer empathised with Rob's narration in this case, responding: "It's silly but I think it's because dating ladies is new to her and she still dates guys so they wanted to differentiate between the two. Nathan only dates guys so it's obvious."
