The Voice Kids judge Jessie J has spoken about her role on both the younger platform and adult version of the singing contest.
Jessie – real name Jessica Cornish – is back on the box tonight (June 8) as a coach for the first time on the kids version of the ITV show alongside Pixie Lott, will.i.am and McFly's Danny Jones.
But according to the 'Price Tag' singer, her time spent working on The Voice UK during the first two series in 2012 and 2013 was actually more difficult than her new job.

Speaking with Digital Spy and other media this week, Jessie admitted that she relishes the mentoring role, but sometimes the contestants can be hard work.
"I love to mentor and it really depends on who you get," she reflected. "I've liked some seasons of the adult Voice more than I've liked others, I'm going to be honest, sometimes some of the people that audition aren't nice to mentor.

"They can sing but there's been moments when I have gone 'this is a lot, this is tough', you know?"
She added: "Sadly, some of the times on the adults one, there would be this kind of like 'I'm so sad all the time' to get attention, and that sometimes for me got to a point where it overrided the moment."
But what is it about the kids version that got her to sign on the dotted line and return to the format? Turns out it's all about the contestants.
Jessie explained: "What is great with the kids one is there is no years and years of resentment or rejection or anger that they've got – not all of them had that in the adults one, I don't want to make it sound like they are all desperate or falling apart – but [with the kids one] there's just this like fun, party, they are just so excited to be there."

She continued: "I think that there is good and bad to both to both, basically is my point. I love doing the show and I love being a coach – there's just less moments that are difficult with the kids... because adults are more difficult than children."
The singer also added that she'd be willing to return to her coaching chair on the adult show.
"Yeah, I'd consider it for sure," Jessie revealed. "I'd love to do the American one. I'd love to do the UK one again. I was very close to doing the UK one maybe last year or the year before, but my schedule didn't work out."
The Voice Kids returns to tonight at 8pm on ITV.
