Popstar and TUC enthusiast Jessie J is making her return to The Voice UK as a coach on the upcoming series of The Voice Kids.

The singer was a coach on the first series of the UK version back in 2012 alongside will.i.am, and now she will be rejoining him and working alongside Danny Jones and Pixie Lott to find Britain's brightest young star.

Speaking to Digital Spy and other press, the star talked about how she felt re-joining the world of spinning chairs.

"When I first got the offer it was, 'Am I ready to do this again, do I want to do this again?'," she said. "It wasn't too emotional, it was more like, 'I like touring, I like singing and I want to do that loads'.

"But then I was like, 'When will I get the chance to give back?' Just to know that I was able to give them advice is really why I do this."

She then elaborated on her relationship with will.i.am, saying: "The first season I did with [him], so to be sitting next to him again and us being mischievous and making each other laugh, it was great.

"[Danny and Pixie] are magical, so having these three around me... Obviously I was really nervous, not knowing how it was going to be with it being kids, as I can be quite serious.

"It was a different side of me that people don't often get to see, like when I am with my niece and nephews and my friends' kids, so it is a really special thing thing for me to do."

Last year, Jessie J took part in a Chinese competition show against other established singers that were popular in Asia — and ended up winning the whole thing.

The Voice Kids returns to ITV tomorrow (June 8) at 8pm on ITV.
