Sorry Jaime Lannister, you'll never be the true love of Game of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie's life.

Yes, her Thrones character Brienne of Tarth may have recently gone through some pretty complicated romantic entanglements in Westeros, but it turns out her heart always belonged to someone other than Jaime. Someone much fuzzier.

The truth came out when Gwendoline joined special guest host Jack Whitehall on The Graham Norton Show on Friday (May 17), as the celebrities were all discussing their most embarrassing celebrity crushes.

While Gwendoline thankfully didn't name Ramsay Bolton as her pick, she left the host, the audience and her fellow celebrity guests scratching their heads by revealing she once fancied… Basil Brush?!

"Not what I was expecting," a perplexed Jack Whitehall admitted.

Fellow guest Luke Evans needed some clarity that Gwendoline actually meant the felt fox puppet from TV — and indeed she did! But the actress defended her choice by saying Basil Brush has some attractive qualities.

Also in Friday's episode, Gwendoline admitted that her fellow Game of Thrones co-stars "got bored" with her emotional reactions to the final episodes. She could have mentioned her crush on a TV puppet to keep them entertained!

The Graham Norton Show airs Fridays at 10.35pm on BBC One. Graham himself returns next week for an X-Men special.
