The Greatest Dancer has denied that it is bringing in Strictly Come Dancing professionals to save failing ratings.

Although we do know that some Strictly stars will take part in the new show, a spokesperson has confirmed to Digital Spy that the dancers were always going to make an appearance and it has nothing to do with viewing figures.

"It has always been the case that Strictly dancers would perform on one of our live shows, along with lots of other special guests which we can't wait for viewers to see," the spokesperson told DS.
