Every time a new season of the US reality dating show phenomenon The Bachelor rolls around, contestants do seriously out-there things to get the attention of their potential future man. And from the looks of the latest previews, this year is no exception.
As you can see in the video below, contestant Brianna (who goes by Bri) had a very interesting tactic for getting this year's Bachelor Colton Underwood's attention during their first meeting. Seriously, this is a pretty next-level way to make a first impression.
SHE FAKED AN ACCENT.
Bri, who's actually American and not from the land down under, then went and revealed in a piece-to-camera: "You have to do what you can to stand out."
Well, there's no doubting that she certainly did that...
According to her bio she's a model, so it's not even like she's an actress who's taken classes on this exact thing (as far as we know, at least...).
What to Read Next
Before you get all ahead of yourself and call her out for being dishonest, the fact is that she didn't ever technically lie. When Colton asked her where she was from, she said that the accent is Australian.
She didn't actually say she was from there. So, really, she's in the clear, right?
The question is how long she can actually keep it up. Will she drop it right away and be like, "HAHA, so funny, right?" or will she carry her Aussie accent through until the bitter end? And what's Colton going to say about the whole thing!?
If you want to find out for yourself, season 23 of The Bachelor premieres in the US on January 7 on ABC.
