Mia and Ed take their relationship to the next level in an exclusive sneak peek at the next episode of Humans.

Ed (Sam Palladio) has learnt the truth about Mia (Gemma Chan) - a sentient Synth - and the pair have grown close.

In this Sunday's instalment, the new couple plan to go out into the world together - but hit a few stumbling blocks...

Will love between a human and a Synth be allowed to blossom? We're already picturing poor Mia being run out of town by a torch-bearing mob...

Humans continues this Sunday at 9pm on Channel 4, with actress Sonya Cassidy - who plays Hester, a troubled Synth - telling Digital Spy that the rest of the series is seriously epic.

"The second series just got broader and broader as the show went on," she said. "I think it's quite incredible what we've been able to fit into eight episodes. The fans are in for a treat."

Emily Berrington (Niska) has also hinted that there could be a third series on the way, if the fans demand it.

"It's definitely been written that if there was an option for a third series that they've left some really juicy stuff in the air," she told us.

"I had a proper chill when I read where it gets to at the end of this series. Even when we were filming it I couldn't quite believe it, I don't think it would disappoint."
