Hold on to your flat caps - by order of the Peaky Blinders, you can now dress like them.

According to the show's writer Steven Knight, Garrison Tailors - named after the city pub in the series - is to be launched this summer and will sell suits, caps and ties for that ultimate Peaky look.

"Garrison Tailors is coming at the end of the summer," Knight wrote on the brand's official website.

"We thought we'd do it properly, so ordering a suit will be like ordering 'slow food'.

"The suits will be made by Scottish craftsmen using scissors, not lasers.

"They will be good quality though it's early days to say what the price will be. Our website will launch soon with accessories like caps and scarves available from the end of July."

He continued: "In the spirit of 'why not?' I've decided, along with some trusted friends, to embark on this adventure.

"Lots of people seem to admire the way the Peaky boys look and it's hard to find clothes of the same quality and cut in conventional shops.

"Our intention is to make clothes for 2016, not fancy dress parties. These are not costumes, they are part of a wider trend toward a new kind of men's clothing.

"Since the '60s, the default look for men has been an imitation of the American teenager - jeans, sweatshirts, trainers, T-shirts. Nothing wrong with that, but sometimes you actually want to get dressed."

In case you've been living under a rock, Peaky Blinders focuses on a ruthless gang run by Cillian Murphy's Thomas Shelby in post-World War I Birmingham, who sewed razor blades into their flat caps (hence the name).
