The sneak peek at Saturday's (November 15) first episode features the introduction of Amy Manson as new character Medea.
Mark Addy, Jack Donnelly, Robert Emms, Sarah Parish and Aiysha Hart all return for series two, with Vincent Regan also joining the cast.
The fantasy series was co-created by Merlin's Johnny Capps and Julian Murphy, and Misfits writer Howard Overman.
Atlantis will return to BBC One on Saturday at 8.30pm, with US viewers getting to see the premiere episode on BBC America just hours after the UK.
