Marvel Comics has announced its first wave of new Star Wars comics at San Diego's Comic-Con International.
These will include two ongoing titles - Star Wars and Star Wars: Darth Vader - and a Princess Leia miniseries (via CBR).
Writer Jason Aaron and artist John Cassaday will work on the main Star Wars title, which takes place between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back and follows the adventures of Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and their allies.
Star Wars: Darth Vader by Kieron Gillen and Salvador Larroca will focus on the same period, but from the point of view of the Emperor's terrifying lieutenant.
Mark Waid and Terry Dodson will collaborate on the five-issue Star Wars: Princess Leia.
Also set in the time period between Episodes IV and V, it will see Leia attempting to come to terms with the destruction of her home planet Alderaan.
What to Read Next
The comics mark the return of George Lucas's franchise to Marvel.
The licence was controlled by Dark Horse Comics for many years until the acquisition of Lucasfilm by Marvel's parent company Disney.
Star Wars #1 will arrive in January 2015, followed by Star Wars: Darth Vader in February and Star Wars: Princess Leia in March.
