After a stint here on Earth, telling the story of Rosa Parks and fighting mutant spiders, Doctor Who is being shot back into space for the upcoming episode 5.

In the trailer for 'The Tsuranga Conundrum' we're met with a confused 13 and the rest of Team TARDIS, asking where they are. In a worrying discovery, it turns out they're in hospital, injured in a distant galaxy.

Although they are reassured with a simple "nothing to worry about" by those in charge, tension mounts as their sanitised surroundings are shown to be not all they seem.

The Doctor seems disorientated, as she struggles to find the answer to an unknown question.

Stuck far from home in a hair-raising fight against a mysterious, but definitely terrifying being, it looks like the gang won't be saving the world, but saving themselves.

Written by new showrunner Chris Chibnall (who also led the way on 'Rosa') and directed by Jennifer Perrott, 'The Tsuranga Conundrum' promises to be another high-octane addition to a popular series so far. The guest stars include Casualty's Suzanne Packer, Ben Bailey Smith aka rapper Doc Brown, comedian Brett Goldstein and Lois Chimimba.

The synopsis revealed ahead of the episode paints a dramatic picture: "'Risk to life: absolute.' Injured and stranded in the wilds of a far-flung galaxy, The Doctor, Yaz, Graham and Ryan must band together with a group of strangers to survive against one of the universe's most deadly -- and unusual -- creatures."

If this week's webby friends are anything to go by, the new Doctor stories are really aiming to pack a punch when it comes to the intergalactic pets, but these new creatures? "They kill."

Doctor Who continues next Sunday (November 4) on BBC One.
