Strictly Come Dancing's Week 4 results were full of surprises. The competition was close with nine couples having only four points between them after Saturday's dances and, of course, lots of viewers were wondering if Seann and Katya's kiss controversy would swing the votes.
As the judges took their seats and the verdicts began to roll in, the tension was at a Strictly history-making high.
The answer everyone was waiting for: Seann and Katya would live to see another week.
After a what felt like hours on the staircase, the pair looked visibly relieved as the results were announced but hesitated to jump into each other's arms. Katya even shouted a loud "thank you"' to the audience.
Along with those who felt Seann and Katya's success was just another addition to their ongoing drama, there were those who felt it was downright wrong, wasting no time in airing their thoughts.
For the rest of the couples, the nerves were just as obvious. Among the first to progress to the fifth week were Stacey Dooley and her professional dance partner Kevin Clifton, who have become fast favourites among fans.
What to Read Next
Charles Venn and Karen Clifton were the first to find out that they would be in the dance-off, sparking some serious criticism from viewers.
And the question of who they would be facing was the one on everyone's minds, even during the Backstreet Boys. While their performance was a perfectly choreographed return to the stage, there were a range of reviews...
It was then revealed that Katie Piper and Gorka Marquez would be joining the dance off. After putting in their best effort, however, the judges voted in favour of their rivals.
Many viewers accepted the result, but were quick to express their sadness that Katie would be leaving, saying she had made a huge impact by being on the show.
Next week, fans are welcoming an exciting twist. The couples will be able to pick their own genre of dance from a new roster of 'Couple's Choice' options, including theatre and jazz, contemporary and even music video dancing.
Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays and Sundays on BBC One.
