In rather surprising news, it seems that detective drama Endeavour is going to be having a bit of an unlikely crossover with classic soap Crossroads.
Yes, Colin Dexter's detective Morse is soon going to be seen checking into a rather familiar Midlands motel.
In a new trailer for the fifth series of Endeavour, which follows a younger version of the character played by Shaun Evans, a car is seen driving past a sign pointing to Kings Oak.
Which, as all self-respecting Crossroads fans will know, is the name of the area where the soap was set.
Crossroads originally ran from 1964 to 1988 and focused on two feuding sisters, Kitty Jarvis (Beryl Johnstone) and Meg Richardson (Noele Gordon).
It went on to deal with a number of high-profile storylines, including a false rape allegation and the birth of a "test-tube baby" (one conceived via IVF).
What to Read Next
The show was briefly revived in 2001 but ended again in 2003 after it was revealed that the new series had been one of the characters' dreams.
We're guessing that element won't be factored into Morse's visit... but it remains to be seen whether he'll meet any of the original characters.
It would certainly be fun to see him interrogating the likes of Amy Turtle and Ruth Bailey...
Endeavour airs on Sunday (18 February) at 8pm on ITV.
