As well as being the Leader of the Opposition, Jeremy Corbyn is the surprising inspiration behind a lot of genuinely great memes. We mostly have his high-fiving skills to thank for that one.

And once again, Corbyn has found himself inadvertently enjoying a viral moment over on Twitter, and all the poor man did was congratulate Prince Harry on his engagement to Meghan Markle.

Luckily for Jez, it wasn't through any fault of his own – oh no, BBC News' live subtitles are to blame this time.

While praising Harry and his brother Prince William's work for mental health charities, the subtitles translated the leader of the opposition's comments a little differently.

"I really do admin – add my the way Harry and Hezbollah have..." the subtitles read, as one person quickly pointed out on social media.

If this was anyone else we're sure the typo replacing "his brother" with "Hezbollah" would go unnoticed, but considering Corbyn told a Home Office select committee last year that he regretted once describing members of Hezbollah as "friends", this is erm... pretty damn unfortunate.

We can hear the conspiracy theories forming from here.

In other equally embarrassing political news, Prime Minister Theresa May also recently found an awkward moment of her own being broadcast to the world.

Earlier this month, the Prime Minister was attending the Lord Mayor's banquet at the City of London's Guildhall when she was almost struck by a huge golden mace. As you do.

While the PM appeared to be in no immediate danger, it seems she thought the mace was a lot closer than it was, and she can be seen clearly diving back from being struck.
