Happy Valley veteran Siobhan Finneran has been cast as Cheshire housewife Nikki Kirkbright, who ensnares David (Robert Bathurst) into her plan to break away from a bad marriage.
Bubbling beneath of the surface of her marriage to George (Robert Glenister) is a desire to start her life over again, so Nikki takes drastic measures to take back her freedom.

Finneran is perhaps best known for playing recovering heroin addict Clare in Happy Valley, and as the surly lady's maid O'Brien in Downton Abbey.
The upcoming series will also feature the return of Ramona Ramirez (Jacey Sallés), now as Karen's (Hermione Norris) new PA, and Paul Ritter as Karen's new business partner.

Cold Feet will return to ITV for its seventh series in September, with an exact date to be announced in the weeks ahead.
