Pointless viewers aren't afraid to mock terrible answers and they got their chance yesterday (June 22).
In the first round, contestants were shown a board of 15 celebrities honoured in the 2015 Queen's birthday honours list and asked to name one of them, leading contestant Sarah to offer up former TOWIE star Joey Essex of all people.
To be fair to her, she didn't seem to recognise any of the people on the board and we *think* she might have mistaken him for Eddie Redmayne (sorry, Eddie).
But viewers at home weren't as forgiving.
At least hosts Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman were kinder in their response to Sarah's hilarious error.
"I would be delighted if Joey Essex had been honoured. I was just thinking what he's yet done," Alexander noted, joking that he could have been knighted "for services to Essex".
What to Read Next
"Due to an administrative error, Joey Essex was not knighted. Next time, surely," added Richard.
The episode was actually a repeat of a September 2016 episode, so we're sure the Queen has paid attention to Joey's Celebs Go Dating exploits and will surely honour him next year.
Pointless has had its fair share of ridiculous answers recently, such as that time a contestant thought "Aphrodisiac" was the Greek goddess of love or when someone mixed up Pride and Prejudice with Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
Pointless airs weekdays at 5.15pm on BBC One.
