We're all going a little bit John Lewis Christmas advert crazy but, in the current political climate, can you blame us?

If you've not seen the advert, titled 'Buster the Boxer' yet, here is the full thing:

And you can even listen to the full version of 'One Day I'll Fly Away' right here.

One tweet that's been going viral in the wake of the advert's release is this one by Tom Cullen, which has nearly 1600 retweets and over 2000 likes at the time of writing.

The tweet states that The Simpsons predicted the John Lewis advert because the family dog, Santa's Little Helper, is bouncing on a trampoline.

There's two things wrong with this though. Firstly, 'predicted' is the wrong term because it's not an event like a death. The word you'd use is 'inspired'.

Secondly (and more importantly), the image is FAKE.

Maybe it's not that easy to see on a phone as an embedded image on Twitter but taking a (not very) hard look you can clearly see that Santa's Little Helper has been Photoshopped on top of the image – he is clearly of a higher quality than the rest of the fuzzy image, his colours are way more vibrant and he looks too big to be where Lisa and Bart's eyes should be meeting.

Don't worry though,The Simpsons did correctly predict Donald Trump becoming President-elect of the United States. Yay...
